If you’re serious about implementing Agile at the enterprise level, don’t miss this very special 4 day Implementing SAFe 4.0 with SPC4 Certification Course. Agil8 is delighted that Mark Richards, one of the world’s most experienced Scaled Agile Framework practitioners, will lead this one-off course. Mark is Partner at, and Founder of, Scaled Agile Gold Partner  Context Matters, Australia’s leading Scaled Agile Framework training and coaching consultancy. Context Matters’ key focus is on supporting enterprise adoption of the Scaled Agile Framework for the Enterprise (SAFe). David Hicks, CEO and Founder of agil8, will also be present throughout the course.

Whilst coaching Australia’s first Scaled Agile Framework® (SAFe) implementation at Telstra, Mark Richards was invited to join the first class to be certified as SAFe Program Consultants when the framework launched in 2012.  Since then, he has both trained and consulted on the implementation of SAFe in the government, insurance, finance and education sectors.  In late 2013, his contributions to the framework’s evolution and success with implementation led to him becoming the first person worldwide to be certified as a SAFe® Program Consultant Trainer (SPCT). He’s arguably one of the best SPC Trainers in the world today and we are very proud to have him over in the UK to teach this course for us.

Prior to entering the world of coaching, Mark spent many years in technical delivery roles ranging from hands-on development to solution architecture.  He combines deep knowledge of theory and principle with the practical insights only years of application can provide.

Whether working with senior executives or delivery team members he is both passionate and pragmatic in pursuing his mission of facilitating sustainable movement towards true business agility and a culture of collaboration.

This course comprises an intensive version of Leading SAFe® 4.0 during which you will gain the knowledge necessary to lead an enterprise agile transformation by leveraging the Scaled Agile Framework® and its underlying principles of lean thinking and product development flow.

In the second two days, you will gain the knowledge needed to identify, plan, and implement SAFe programs with Agile Release Trains – and the toolset to be able to teach Leading SAFe courses too.

The goal of this course is to prepare internal change agents and external consultants to:

  • Lead an enterprise agile transformation
  • Implement the Scaled Agile Framework® (SAFe)
  • Train managers and executives in Leading SAFe and act as a SAFe Agilist (SA) certifying agent
  • Train teams in SAFe ScrumXP for Teams and act as a SAFe Practitioner (SP) certifying agent

The course also provides 32 Category B PDUs for PMI PMPs, and for Scrum Alliance members, 15 Category C  SEUs  towards Certified Scrum Practitioner (CSP).

The course is suitable for internal change agents, external consultants and managers and leaders responsible for implementing agile programs as part of an enterprise Lean|Agile change initiative. This course is NOT suitable for those without prior agile experience.

The course will take place in London 11-14 April 2016, and the EarlyBird price of £1895 is valid until Monday 14th March. Further course details can be found here.
